Animals: The relative paucity of species observed at Okavango and Mahango was more than made up for during our stay in Etosha. However, we could not claim to have seen all the "Big Five".

Birds: Bird life was also richly varied, although, as ever, photographing them was problematic!

Insects: Butterflies and beetles were visible throughout the day. Other insects were particularly prevalent in the evenings and over night, when they flocked to the light at our campfire or the washrooms, or else to the lights illuminating the water holes.
