The Sandoval Lake Lodge was in a Rain Forest, which lived up to its name on the last full day!

There was abundant bird life, but unfortunately it was not easy to photograph.

Insect life was also very rich. It was best observed and photographed at night, when the insects can be located by detecting the reflection of a torch from their eyes.

Tree frogs, lizards and a snake were all observed. Again, these are easier to detect in the dark.

There were numerous varieties of spider to be seen, including the feared but relatively harmless Tarantula.
